10. Mace Pepper Spray 


Licensing a pepper spray design with Mace Brand currently. Not art direction but I think it’s cool. 

60% of users miss their target when using the traditional pepper spray. Eris is designed for precision and ergonomics with a 95% accuracy rate on the first shoot. 

It features an inlaid trigger and egg-shaped design with undulations, providing intuitive handling cues. A dual-action mechanism requires simultaneous engagement of the safety and trigger for discharge, minimizing misfires. 



Iterations 


Form ExplorationExplored form based on ergonomic principles, average woman's hand dimensions, technical feasibility, using modeling clay for experimentation.

Final exterior includes a trigger, a safety button, spray nozzle, with a parting split down the center. Organic shape and undulation below trigger allow the user to comfortably grip. 

Interior includes a unique capsaicin cannister, a tube and valve, and a spray nozzle. Can only be sprayed when trigger and safety are pressed simultaneously.
